About the Artist

Laura Lopez is a student at California State University. She has completed her Bachelors degree and is currently going to school for her Masters. This exhibition is in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the degree Master of Fine Arts. She is extremely fascinated with the idea of nature and jungle. She sees far beyond the superficial concept.

Formal Analysis

Lauras work is extremely appealing and attracting. It is very vibrant and color. Her art work stands out as soon as you lay eyes on it. She used various different colors to make her work work stand out and represent in really life what the jungle and nature mean to her.

Content Analysis

Laura’s work was inspired by the jungle. She states that she has always admired the way nature builds and creates all sorts of life forms that are interconnected and grow together as a whole. She believes that the jungle is her true home where her roots are planted on. The idea of the universe as a whole inspires her work along with nature and jungle. Her vibrant colors speak to her art work perfectly.

Synthesis/My Experience

I absolutely loved Laura’s work. As soon as I stepped foot into her exhibition I was fascinated. I loved the idea of the jungle and nature and how she used colorful colors to portray exactly what she was feeling.
